NCCP Pathway Guides for Coaches

“Pathway Status” Categories:

• In-Training = the coach has completed at least one of the qualification components/courses in the pathway
• Trained = the coach has completed ALL the requirements in the pathway, except an Evaluation
• Certified = the coach has completed all requirements and passed an evaluation for the pathway

BWF Pathway: ShuttleTime

• Pre-requisite: None
• Non-Competitive, Recreational Coaching
• NCCP ShuttleTime is an instructional based course designed for teachers and instructors who are introducing “recreational” badminton to students or players.  It was developed by Badminton World Federation (details CLICK HERE) and adapted by Badminton Canada and Badminton BC.  The NCCP Shuttle Time certification is for teachers, recreation center instructors or coaches, and new or inexperienced coaches.  Even coaches who have many years of experience will find useful information in the workshop.  Coaches attending a Shuttle Time Course will learn about: group and classroom management, how to teach basic badminton skills, skill progression, and an introduction to the drills used in Shuttle Time.

NCCP Pathway: Competition Introduction REGIONAL

• Pre-requisite: None
• Competitive Coaching
• Comparable (but not equivalent) to the old Level 1
