A volunteer Board of Directors governs Badminton BC. They meet 6 times per year, including the Annual General Meeting. The Board of Directors performs the financial management, planning and decision-making for the Association through oversight of the various standing committees.

Roles and Responsibilities
A dedicated badminton player for over 40 years, Andy has served on the Lower Mainland Badminton Association (LMBA) and has been actively involved as a volunteer at tournaments. He is currently serving as President.
Vice President
Peter Kho (Richmond)

Roles and Responsibilities
Peter is a retired IT Executive with over 40 years experience in various industries including Federal & Provincial governments, retail and IT consulting. He started playing badminton at 17 years old and has continued with that passion throughout the years and in various countries (Canada, England, USA and Brunei). Peter has volunteered in past events including the 2004 BWF World Junior Championships, the 2009 World Police and Fire Games, the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics as well as various years of the Yonex Canada Open. Peter is eager to restore trust in the organization in his role as Vice President.

Duy Nguyen (Surrey)

Roles and Responsibilities
Originally from Penticton, Duy has been involved in badminton since high school. With a background in law firm management and immigration laws, he specializes in legal matters. He also coaches high school badminton, basketball and wrestling. He is passionate about the growth of badminton in BC and strives to build a proud and thriving community.

Lisa Davison (Prince George)

Returning to the Board after a nine-year absence, Lisa has extensive experience with Badminton BC in multiple roles, including coach, athlete, former President, and various administrative positions. Her role as Secretary and leadership will help strengthen Board governance, policies and communication with members.

Carl Lau (Surrey)

A public servant who is working for the BC Ministry of Finance. He is a professional accountant with more than 20 years of experience in financial and conflict management, and complex compliance issues. Carl would like to promote the sport of badminton and BC players at national and international levels.
