This course is the first step along BC's umpiring pathway and designed to provide participants with the introductory knowledge, the training and the confidence to umpire matches during a competition. The learning objectives cover the laws of badminton, scoring on a scoresheet, verbiage, and practical on-court sessions. The course fee includes 8 hours of classroom and practical training combined, a workbook and a log book. - This event is provided for BBC Members ONLY. Recreational or player memberships are not sufficient to access this course. Non-Members will require a "Officials" membership for the current season.
- This event is PRE-Pay.. meaning prospective attendees must pay registration fees (and BBC membership fee) BEFORE being admitted to the event. Anyone with outstanding membership fees or unpaid course fees 24 hours before the course will be removed from the attendee list and denied entry to the course.
