TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The first stage of the group stage format: All participating teams are divided into several groups, and
each group competes in a single round-robin competition.. A win is worth 1 point, a loss is 0, the teams with higher points are ranked higher, and the top two in each group advance to the knockout stage.

The second stage of the knockout competition system: the promoted teams will compete in a single
knockout competition; the team that loses a game will be eliminated with the final team crowned the champion.

TEAM MATCH RULES: 

  • 5 matches per game; All matches are doubles.
  • Team Captains must submit their line up (5 players per game) 10 minutes prior to the ties - teams will not be allowed to view the other team’s line up. Should the Team Captain not submit their line up 5 minutes prior to tie time, Draw Desk will automatically make the team line-up. 
  • Five players are arranged to form five doubles matches. (Line-up must be formed by order) 
    • 1st Doubles: Player 1&2
    • 2nd Doubles: Player 2&3
    • 3rd Doubles: Player 3&4
    • 4th Doubles: Player 4&5
    • 5th Doubles: Player 5&1
  • Whenever either side reaches 20, 40, 60, or 80 points, both sides will simultaneously switch to the next doubles. After the last doubles match goes on the court, the first side to reach 101 points wins. No deuce or additional points will be added.
  • Change sides: When each doubles take the court, they switch sides.
  • Rest time: When each doubles take the court, they have 120 seconds for rest and warm-up.
  • Score system:
    • WD vs MD: WD gets 8 points before starting the match and gets first serve. 
    • XD vs MD: XD gets 4 points before starting the match and gets first serve. 
    • XD vs WD: WD gets 4 points before starting the match and gets first serve.
