PLAYER RESPONSBILITIES
1.Players are recommended to be at the tournament venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled match
2.If players are not on court within 10 minutes of match announced, the match is defaulted and deemed a No Show
3. Players have a 3-minute warm up period
4. No additional warm up time will be allotted for players arriving late to the court within the 10-minute default
5.Players must advise the draw desk within 5 minutes of the end of their first match loss if they do not wish to play consolations
Please be advised: In response to concerns raised by numerous players, coaches, and parents over the past several seasons, Badminton BC has implemented a “No Show” fee. Essentially, any player who does not show up for a scheduled match time without informing the HOC (at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled match) will be fined $40 dollars. This policy is an effort to reinforce the values of courtesy, responsible behaviour, respect, and sportsmanship as set out in the BBC Athlete Code of Conduct – a no show would be considered an infraction of this shared Code. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, communication, and responsible participation.
