NCCP COMPETITION INTRO REGIONAL
MODULE 3 - TECHNICAL & TACTICAL BASIC

DATE: Friday February 18th (6pm-10pm) PLUS Saturday February 19th (8am-Noon)
LOCATION: ONLINE format, delivered over two days (Connection details to be provided to registered attendees)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: NCCP Module 3 (Technical & Tactical Basics)
Module 3 is the third module required for Competition Introduction - Regional Coach Certification. This course provides coaches the basic skills of observation, analysis, problem solving and development of learning that will better assist players in improving their technical and tactical skills.

Non-Members Registration Fee includes the 2021-2022 Coach Membership $45.

We are organizing a workshop for COACHES: Competition Introduction Regional (Module 3)
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Module 3 is the third module required for Competition Introduction - Regional Coach Certification. This course provides coaches the basic skills of observation, analysis, problem solving and development of learning that will better assist players in improving their technical and tactical skills. Module 3 was formerly recognized as Level 1 Technical. Is now availble online throught Badminton Canada.

We are organizing a workshop for COACHES: ShuttleTime (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Shuttle Time is a new NCCP teacher and recreation instructional coach certification course developed by the Badminton World Federation and adapted by Badminton Canada. The NCCP Shuttle Time certification is for school teachers, recreation centre instructors or coaches, and new or inexperienced instructors or coaches. Even instructors or coaches who have many years of experience will find useful information in the workshop.

With the 2021-22 competitive season quickly approaching, it is time to conduct our annual Coach Accreditation Badges exercise. This applies to all coaches that may be coaching, or assisting a head coach, at a Junior A, Junior B, U23 and/or SeniorOpen series and/or provincial championship competitions. Badminton BC Referees and Umpires will be ensuring only those coaches with accreditation badges access the field of play.
Badges will be ordered in late August for September delivery. This requires that the information needed for ordering the badges must be in hand by mid August.. please do not delay in following the process outlined below for this annual exercise. Single badge orders are much more costly than the planned bulk order.

NCCP Maintenance of Certification – Cycle Jan 2017 – Jan 2022
This is a reminder to all coaches that have a current NCCP Maintenance of Certification cycle ending January 2022, that they must complete the necessary Professional Development (PD) Points requirement to maintain their certification by December 31, 2021. All coaches must keep their certification current in order to receive their National Coaching License. Coaches have had the past five (5) years to earn PD Points to maintain their certification.

• Competition-Introduction - Badminton Provincial Coach - 20 Points
• Badminton Competition-Development - 30 Points
