Only coaches who are fully certified (Theory, Technical and Practical Levels 1 and 2) are invited to participate in Level 3 courses. Coaches will be required to complete Level 3 Theory and Technical and then will be tested by a Level 3 Master Course Conductor for the Practical component.

The Theory component must be taken through the Coaches Association of BC. It can be taken as a course or via home study. Please visit the Coaches BC Website for schedule and contact information.

NCCP Levels 4 and 5

NCCP Levels 4 and 5 consist of an applied study program of 20 tasks (customized by Badminton Canada) to be taken through the National Coaching Institute (NCI). To receive Level 4 certification, a coach must complete 12 tasks. The remaining 8 tasks are completed for Level 5 certification.

Level 3 certification, experience in high-performance sport and approval from Badminton Canada are prerequisites for entry to Levels 4 and 5. A physical education degree is also highly recommended.
